A medium close-up shot of a young East Asian woman with dark hair in a ponytail, wearing a black headset and a light green cardigan over a white t-shirt. She is sitting at a wooden table, smiling widely and waving her right hand at the screen of an open black laptop in front of her. Her left hand is holding a pen on top of an open notebook. The background is a blurred view of a window. The text on the lower right corner of the screen reads, “TRAINING CERTIFIED BEHAVIORAL HEALTH TECHNICIAN” and below it, “UC Behavioral Health & Social Services.” A circular logo with the text “TRAINING CERTIFIED BEHAVIORAL HEALTH TECHNICIAN” is to the left of the main text.
A black-and-white medium shot of middle-aged businesswoman Ingrid Cruz, standing in an office and speaking on a mobile phone; her right hand rests on a stack of files on her desk, while her other hand holds the phone to her ear, with a window and other office furniture blurred in the background.

Why Learn with Ingrid Cruz?

I hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) and I am a Certified Behavioral Health Case Manager Supervisor (CBHCMS), which reflects my experience in behavioral health care coordination, case management supervision, and service program development. I am also an Art Therapist Provisional (ATR-P), and I incorporate expressive therapy approaches that allow clients—particularly children and individuals with developmental or communication challenges—to express emotions, develop coping skills, and improve social interaction through creative processes.

Through UC Behavioral Health & Social Services, I have worked to develop multidisciplinary programs that combine behavioral health services, expressive therapies, and educational support, including art and music therapy, counseling, case management, and specialized programs designed for children with developmental, emotional, and behavioral needs. My approach emphasizes individualized care, family collaboration, and evidence-informed practices that address both clinical and psychosocial factors affecting each client’s well-being.

My commitment is to continue expanding accessible and meaningful behavioral health services that empower individuals, strengthen families, and support healthier communities.

“Whether you are starting your very first day in mental health or you are a seasoned professional looking to get certified, I am here to guide you. This journey is about more than just passing an exam—it’s about becoming a pillar of support for your community.”
